Today I came across a discussion about the assassination of Patrice Lumumba in 1961.
I rememember him rather well from reports in South African newspapers and so looked up his history to refresh my memory!
Once again I came to realise that colonialism..which I always hated because it made me feel rootless..was and still is..a major source of the unrest in the world today!
As Believers in the Creation of the Universe we need to re-read Genesis 2:26-28 where our Father and Creator tells us that mankind is made 'in his own image' and also Galatians 3:28 where Paul tells us that we are all 'one' in Christ Jesus

At the end of the day God,our Father, via His Son, Jesus Christ, is the only ruler over His Creation and, in time, we will all be brought before Him to receive the 'reward' for our merciful or unmerciful deeds in this life!
