Many years ago I heard a song called 'Matthew and Son' by a guy calling himself Cat Stevens. I really loved that song and followed up other popular songs he wrote and sang.
Then, for some reason, I lost track of this singer and was very surprised to read, years later, that he had become 'religious' and had changed his name accordingly.
I also read about an author called Salmon Rushdie who wrote a book that was offensive to those who followed the same religion that the singer had taken on..and that there was a 'fatwah' on his life because of it!
Not too long ago this same author was attacked and severely injured..seems he has lost one eye..but made it through anyway.
Today, while browsing, I came across this article about both singer and author and the history behind it all! Did some follow up research on the life of the singer and was amazed at what I read!
It seems that 'peace' has many nuances..!!
